Who is Poldo Brigade?
At the time I’m writing this, I don’t have a dog, even though I always wanted one. When I was a child, once or twice a year we used to go to Southern Italy to see my grandparents in Southern Italy. They had a farm and always used to have dogs. When we left to go back to Switzerland by car, were we lived and I still live, I took one of the puppies and hid under my t-shirt hopeful that I’d manage to get it back home with me. My new fortune didn’t last too long. 5 minutes drive or so and my father u-turned the car and took my puppy back to the farm.
Β
Years later, when I had my first flat, I bought my first dog. I could take Dolly with me to work for a few weeks, but we never manage to stop her eager to pick up the phones and run after every phone ring in the huge open space office. So she had to stay home alone and used to cry all the time. And a neighbour of mine, a shift operator, wouldn’t be able to sleep during day and had to work at night anyway.
Β
Dolly had to leave, I broke her heart and she broke mine.Β
The desire has become so strong, that I became a dog groomer in 2019. This is Poldo Brigade: itΒ helps out stray dogs to become dog professionals. It helps dog lovers to find the right dog and it helps dog lovers, to find their vocation through their dog.Β
